WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI -- Whitmore Lake is just one of many locations in Michigan losing its go-to spot to get a Whopper. EYM King of Michigan LLC, a franchisee, is planning to close 26 Burger King restaurants across the Metro Detroit area, including locations in Flint, Dearborn Heights, Southfield, Royal Oak, Livonia and Warren. The franchisee wrote in a letter on March 22 that it is ceasing these operations in Michigan due to 'the unforeseen business circumstance and not being able to reach a resolution with Burger King Corporation.
